The doulas listed below are all members of Herts Doulas and Doula UK. They all abide by the Doula UK Philosophy and "Code of Conduct".
Some are working towards their Doula UK recognition and others are recognised doulas with Doula UK. They are all skilled, compassionate and dedicated to giving you a positive birth and postnatal experience.
Trainee doulas charge £150.00 for births and £10 per hour for postnatal work.
Recognised doulas charge between £400.00 - £800.00 for births and £15 - £20 for postnatal work, depending on experience. For the time and services that goes into doula work, you get an excellent deal for your money.
Most doulas are willing to work with you to help afford the service, so always ask about payment options, and whether or not they offer a sliding scale fee. When it comes down to it, though, don't let money stand in the way of hiring the doula that fits you and your family best. Childbirth is a special time in your life, and a once in a lifetime experience for you and this newborn. Your baby, your health, and your memories and experience of the birth are worth the price.
Doulas are listed in the area they live but are all happy to travel all over Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and London.
