I have a daughter, Megan who is 2 1/2 years old.I didn’t have a very positive birth experience with my daughter and this began my passion for supporting other women, enhancing their experience and ensuring their decisions are empowered with my help as their doula.
Having a baby is a life changing experience and I offer postnatal support to help women to get breastfeeding and routines on the right track and to enjoy a successful bonding experience.
My services
Two prenatal visits.Where we discuss your birth preferences, pain relief, positions at each stage, your partners preferences, the options for third stage and what you would like to happen immediately after the birth and all feeding options and breastfeeding support.I provide DVDs, books, info pack and a homeopathy kit.
I will be available by phone or email to offer support throughout your pregnancy.
I will be available 24 hours a day should you go into labour from the 38th week of your pregnancy and up to two weeks after your due date.
I will empower your decisions and do my best to ensure your wishes are met during labour.I give dad a great deal of support to ensure that he feels needed and wanted.Give physical support to help you get into positions.
After birth.I will stay with you after birth for as long as necessary to ensure all your needs are met.
Two postnatal visits.During these sessions we can discuss your birth experience, ensure that you are comfortable with your decision to breastfeed or support you bottle feeding.
My qualifications and experience
I am both birth and postnatal qualified.I am also a qualified baby massage and movement teacher.
I have done 4 births, including a home birth and a VBAC.
I have completed a water birth study day, an advanced breastfeeding workshop and I am qualified to give reiki to offer holistic pain relief.
I am also a member of the maternity network which is a team of holistic therapist from conception to the age 5.
